Ishbel's making it's way around the blogosphere so really, I don't know why I thought I could stump you guys with my little sneak peak.

Pattern: Ishbel, Ysolda Teague
Size: Scarf
Yarn: Pagewood Farm Hand Dyed Sock Yarn (merino/bamboo/nylon) in Lilac
Needles: Addi Turbo 3.75mm
Started: March 2009
Finished: March 2009
I don't know what to say about this pattern that already hasn't been said. It's a great pattern that's perfect for beginning lace knitters. It's a quick knit. I finished it in less than a week, four days actually.. but I did start this when I went on a road trip. So that did have a hand in how I finished it so fast. But seriously, within the fours it took for us to get to our destination, I wound the yarn and nearly finished the stockinette portion.

The yarn is amazing.. super soft and really drapey. I practically wore this scarf almost every day for two weeks after I made it.. then the weather freaked out and it got warm. But I love this thing to death. I've learned that I'm not so much an over the shoulder kind of shawl wearer, but a 'round the neck kind of girl. I like to call this style, the "bandit scarf," a la Billy the Kid.

I may look all kinds of goofy wearing it this way, but it keeps me warm, makes me feel young and I love it. So here's to me and Ishbel, riding off happily into the sunset.

Gorgeous. I think an around the neck scarf is a lot more practical than an over the shoulder shawl, but that's just me. We usually need scarves (like later this week when it snows again!) and that one looks perfect. I love the color and the simplicity of the design. Good job.

I love the color and the weight of yarn you used. It looks very lacy and yet substantial. Love it!
