Happy Birthday! With all my heart, I love you, no doubt! Even though you say, you'd prefer plain over fancy (despite the fact that I tried to pick something plain out of the "fancy" ones and because I didn't want you think that I didn't put any effort into it).. Even though you say that the holes are showing (when they're actually part of the design).. Even though you say they're a bit on the tight side (when I told you they'd stretch after wearing).. Even though you say they're too rough on your feet when you're walking around (when I told you they'd soften up after washing).. Even though you said thanks (and then told me to stop knitting) I love you the same and will always try to make you happy (Mental note to self -- for her birthday next year, sew her something**.)
Pattern: River Rapids Socks,
Sockbug

Notes:
If you don't know about the
Sockbug, it's about time you do. She's got some great patterns and for all the rest of you Magic Loopers out there, she's got a tutorial on how to cast on for two TOP-DOWN sock at one time (I just saw this right now and will definitely try it). What about the yarn? I love, love LOVE Tess yarn! SOOOOO Soft and I can't believe it's superwash. Pattern is really simple and easy to memorize. My mom and I have the same size feet and they fit me well. I don't think she's used to handknit socks. I hope she at least wears them to bed.
**Did I ever tell y'all she LOVED my weekender bag? Must remember that for next year.
